Sometimes it is necessary to add 2 mailboxes with the same name, when changing provider.
Some versions of outlook will not allow adding two mailboxes of the same name via the app and will say “mailbox already exists”
If you get this message when trying to add the mailbox, please proceed with the below:
Exit from Outlook
Go to the search box at the bottom left of the computer screen.

Search for Control Panel and open.
Change the “view by” to large or small icons.

Select the Mail icon

Select Email accounts

Select New

Fill in the mailbox details and hit the Manual Setup button, then next

Select Pop or Imap

Add the full mailbox details as below, click More Settings

Go to the outgoing server tab

Tick the box "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication

Go to the advanced Tab and fill in as below.
Note that when you change the field to STARTTLS it may change the smtp port back to 25. Please change to 587

If you have any issues adding the account and get an error for the outgoing server – try port 465 SSL/TLS
Click Next

The account should now add
If you get the error message that the .pst file is too long, reboot the computer and start from scratch.
You should now have 2 email accounts showing. The new one will have (1) after the name. You can click and drag the new mailbox to the top, if you prefer.
