When viewing statistics, the Search terms report previously allowed you to see the words or phrases visitors used to find your website. However, due to changes in web browser behavior, this information is no longer shared with websites. As a result, we have retired the Search Terms report from our statistics panel.

Why Can’t I See Search Terms Anymore?

Modern web browsers prioritise user privacy, which means they no longer pass along search term data to websites. This change affects all websites, not just those using our platform. Without this data, the Search Terms report could no longer provide meaningful insights, prompting us to remove it.

Alternative: Google Search Console

If you want to understand what search terms your website appears for in search results, we recommend using Google Search Console. This free and powerful tool gives you access to a “Queries” report, which shows:

  • The search terms people used to see your site in Google’s search results.
  • How many people clicked through to your site.
  • The average position of your site in search results for specific queries.

How to Access Google Search Console

To get started with Google Search Console, follow these steps:

  1. Visit Google Search Console.
  2. Sign in with your Google account.
  3. Explore the “Performance” section to view the Queries report and other insights.

Benefits of Google Search Console

  • Improved SEO Insights: See which search terms drive visibility and clicks for your site.
  • Optimisation Opportunities: Identify high-ranking queries to focus your content strategy.
  • User Behavior Trends: Learn how users interact with your site in search results.
