Advertising your services on Facebook can be a valuable marketing strategy. Before creating adverts, Facebook will ask you to set up the Facebook pixel code on your website.

The pixel code

The Facebook pixel code looks like this:

<!-- Facebook Pixel Code -->

<script>

!function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod?

n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n;

n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0';n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0;

t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window,

document,'script','https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js');

fbq('init', '123456789012345');

fbq('track', "PageView");</script>

<noscript><img height="1" width="1" style="display:none"

src="https://www.facebook.com/tr?id=123456789012345&ev=PageView&noscript=1"

/></noscript>

<!-- End Facebook Pixel Code -->

Partway down is a long number (highlighted in blue in the example above): this is your Facebook pixel ID.

Adding the pixel code to your site

Open the settings panel and click Facebook in the menu on the left. Enter your pixel ID in the field and click Add.

If you later need to remove the pixel code, click the Remove button.
