Creating links
You can link to an external site by entering the address in the field at the top of the link window. Remember to include the http:// at the start of the address; otherwise the link will point to a page on your site. When linking to content within your site you should use one of the tabs, which are described in more detail below.
Check the open in a new window or tab checkbox to cause the link to open in a new browser window or tab. While you be be tempted to set all external links to opened in new windows or tabs, be aware that this can confuse or annoy visitors when they later unexpectedly find your site still open in their browser.
Click Add link to create the link. Click Remove link to remove any current link. Click Cancel to return to the page without changing links.
Linking to pages on your site
To link to pages on your site, click on the Pages tab in the link window and then click on the name of the page. The address of the page will then be copied into the field at the top of the link window. Note that the address starts with /, which ensures that the link is relative to your home page and will continue to work even if you later change your domain name.
Linking to shop categories and products
To link to shop categories and products on your site, click on the Shop tab in the link window, as shown in figure 3, and then click on the name of the category or product.
Linking to files
To link to files that you have uploaded to your site, click on the Files tab in the link window, as shown in figure 4, and then click on the name of the file.
Linking to anchors
To link to anchors on your site, click on the Anchors tab in the link window, as shown in figure 5, and then click on the name of the anchor.
